Copper Card Lounge

Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how Copper Card Lounge, located at 12 Copper Lane, Melbourne VIC 3000, Australia, uses cookies and similar technologies on our website, coppercardlounge.com. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about the data we collect when you visit our site, whether you are exploring our restaurant menu, learning about our offline poker sessions, or booking a table in our card lounge.

  • The policy applies to all visitors to our website.
  • It describes what cookies are, the types we use, and how you can control them.
  • We may update this policy from time to time; the effective date is 8 September 2026.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the site owners. Cookies can be 'persistent' or 'session' cookies. Persistent cookies remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them, while session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. At Copper Card Lounge, we use cookies to enhance your browsing experience, remember your preferences, and understand how you interact with our site—whether you are viewing our menu or checking the schedule for poker evenings.

  • Cookies are stored locally on your device.
  • They may be set by us (first-party) or by third parties.
  • They do not typically contain personally identifiable information, but may be combined with other data.

Types of Cookies We Use

Essential Cookies

These cookies are necessary for the website to function properly. They enable core features such as page navigation, secure access, and remembering your cookie consent preferences. Without these cookies, the site cannot operate effectively, and services like table reservations or viewing our poker room details may not work as intended.

  • Examples: session cookies for maintaining login state, consent management cookies.
  • Duration: typically session-based or up to 12 months for consent preferences.

Analytics Cookies

Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our website by collecting and reporting information anonymously. This data allows us to improve the user experience, such as optimizing the layout of our menu pages or making it easier to find information about offline poker events. We use aggregated data and do not identify individual users.

  • Examples: Google Analytics, which tracks page views, time on site, and navigation paths.
  • Duration: varies, typically up to 24 months.

Functional Cookies

Functional cookies allow the website to remember choices you make and provide enhanced, more personal features. For instance, they may remember your preferred language or region, or whether you have already seen a particular notification about our poker evenings. These cookies improve your experience but are not strictly necessary for the site to work.

  • Examples: remembering a selected table size or a dismissed popup about upcoming poker sessions.
  • Duration: up to 12 months.

Advertising or Targeting Cookies

We do not currently use advertising or targeting cookies on our website. However, if we introduce them in the future, they would be used to deliver content more relevant to you and your interests, such as promotions for our restaurant or card lounge. We will update this policy accordingly and seek your consent where required.

  • Currently no third-party advertising cookies are deployed.
  • Any future use will be disclosed here.
